For matcha lovers only - food was good, the parfait is good but slightly heavy imo, the soba is great, and the tea jelly is good.
The wait wasn't too bad and you don't have to physically be in the restaurant while you wait, so you can roam around.
The gift shop isn't very good, but that's not the point here.
The place looks amazing so you're eating with great views.

During my visit to Uji, I had the pleasure of dining at the main store and exploring their three meal set, which featured hot matcha soba noodles, cold matcha soba noodles, and matcha curry soup with udon.
Among the dishes, the cold matcha soba noodles truly stood out. The experience of dipping the noodles into the cold soup highlighted their delightful texture which is tasty, refreshing and absolutely worth recommending. It was a perfect dish to enjoy in the serene atmosphere of Uji.
The matcha curry udon was also a pleasant surprise. Admittedly, I felt hesitant at first. The entirely green soup looked unusual and unexpected. However, upon tasting, I discovered an intriguing balance of strong curry flavor with a light matcha. This unexpected combination worked wonderfully and leaving a lasting impression.
