This is a very small, vibey, dark coffee bar that's tucked in a quiet corner at one of the exits in Odori station. The seats are arranged mostly on a counter bar right in front of the barista and feels almost like a coffee omakase session 🤣 (this place is great for bringing your dates 😏)
We had strawberry jam toast, cheesecake (oh you must ask the barista for the cake selection and then he'll show you what's available for the day), a cup of black coffee and a cup of venetian coffee (cream on top of bitter coffee)!
The toast is highly recommended! It looks really plain but it's really good! The barista toasted the thick toast on the spot and it's super crispy, super buttery on all edges and surfaces and the strawberry jam is not too sweet and goes very well with the toast!
The cheesecake is light, flavorful and there's a little cream that you can eat it with on the side.
For coffee, the venetian coffee comes with light cream that's whipped personally on the spot by the barista once you order it and it's so light and fluffy! (But it melts pretty quickly so you'll need to hurry when taking photos). The black coffee is prepared on the spot as well (the barista will grind the beans and pour and extract the coffee right in front of your eyes and you'll get to watch the blooming process 🙂 (but the barista stopped us from video-ing the blooming process down)
The barista is a little eccentric imo because every time he grinds the beans / before he extracts the beans, he'll breathe in really hard and make some faint sounds 😂 (I'm guessing it's his habits)
The bill came up to around 3000+ yen in total so it's a tad pricey but definitely worth it! It's also very quaint and the interior is very zen and everyone has his / her own corner 😁
